This is a large ..9 inches tall, 8 inches wide...antique Mardi Gras ball invitation from 1883. Cut out like a diecut scrap but on heavier stock paper. I just found the bottom piece so it will be 9 inches tall when put together. Note...this one has been cut and is in 2 pieces. Bits are scraped off where it was glued in a huge scrapbook.

Wonderfully illustrated scenes that may be the history of France? Looks like Napoleon at the bottom of one side.. this was soaked from an old scrapbook full of things from the 1800s. This is a smaller piece of the full cover I have in another sale. They look great together as you can see both sides at one time.
