Fabulous MODERNIST Ring by Kupittaan Kulta from Finland consisting of 925 Sterling Silver and Caged Genuine Carnelian Stone marble in a Kinetic design where the Carnelian marble actually rolls around with great movement. An iconic design by this desirable designer.

Includes the full set of hallmarks on inside of shank.

Lovely light patina

Size 8 at full extension, but notice the shank is split/open style in back and therefore can be stretched open to fit a larger finger, or pinched tighter for a smaller finger

Some History about the Designer for You:

Elis Kauppi’s (1921-2004) was a foremost figure in contemporary Modernist jewellery and his vision inspired a generation of makers which launched Finland onto the international jewellery design scene. In 1945, at age 24, Kauppi founded his renowned jewellery workshop, Kupittaan Kulta, in Turku, Finland part of a younger generation of makers which would forever change the face of jewellery design, Kauppi was driven to innovate by both the difficult circumstances of war and a desire to push past accepted standards of design at the time.
He was one of the first to use local stones such as granite and spectrolite, which were elevated in status and incorporated into unique designs in fresh and innovative way. The exciting results attracted international attention and Kauppi, representing Finland, began exhibiting internationally, and winning prestigious prizes and the demand for Finnish jewellery worldwide increased dramatically.
His attention to simplicity and form was the order of the day. A true modernist and innovator Kauppi’s designs emphasize abstraction, rejecting the popular forties naturalistic flower and leaf designs. With strong focus on craftsmanship and integrity of design, his bold creations remain strikingly relevant today and are much sought after becoming more difficult to find making them so much more collectable
