DescriptionA large, antique Chinese Export blue and white Canton covered tureen or serving bowl wtih boar\'s head handles. The cover is a \"marriage\" to the base (does not quite fit and has different decoration). Size: Overall 13.5\" long x 8.5\" wide x 8\" deep - weighs about 8 pounds. The lid is decorated with flowers and bamboo trees with large finial and is in perfect condition - 9\" x 12\" overall with interior lip size of 8\" x 11\". The base has unusual decoration of Asian figures in a courtyard with a pony and cat. It is in good condition with one profession repair in a corner area as shown (bowl is 11.5\" x 8.5\"). Circa 1850, unsigned.
