This pair of antique hand colored Russian photographs are by\" B.Avanzo.\" B.Avanzo was active in Moscow from about 1870 to 1900. These two hand colored albumen photographs probably date from the 1890\'s. These photographs feature views of Moscow. The first photograph is of the Imperial Palace and measures approx. 8 x 10 3/4 inches. This photograph is hand colored and also has areas of gum arabic. The photograph is mounted on a 13 x 16 3/4 inch mat with \"B.AVANZO\" in the lower left and \"MOSCOU\" on the loer right of the mat. The second photograph also measures approx. 8 x 10 3/4 inches and is a general viewof Moscow. This photograph also has \"B.AVANZO\" in the lower left and \"MOSCOU\" in the lower right of the mat just below the photograph. In addition to hand coloring this photograph also has areas of gum arabic. Some of the areas of gum arabic have started to craze on this photograph otherwise both photographs are in very good condition!
