Someone put a lot of hand craftsmanship into the production of this antique necklace. Each of the larger beads are hollowed and additional pieces of bone were cut, ground, andattachedto cover the open ends of each individual bead. Must have taken many hours to produce. Measures 22 1/4\" in overall length and weighs in at a substantial 178 grams. The larger center bead measures 1 5/8\" wide with a 1 3/8\" diameter. Has the unmistakable look of Primitive African Tribal but by no means am I an expert and would greatly appreciate any opinions that my fellow er\'s may have regarding this necklace. One of the larger beads has a small crack as pictured and there aremultipleimperfections throughout the bone of the necklace due it\'s primitive construction.Although primitive the necklace has the look and feel of quality when in hand. I do not believe that my pictures do this unique piece of jewelry justice.
