DescriptionAsuperb rare large decorative Englishantique late Victoriansolid sterling silver cigarette box probably by the silversmiths Deakin & Francis,in lovely condition and with English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1897.Excellent quality genuine 118 year oldsilver box, witha hinged silver lid and decorated with beautiful deeply embossed flowers and scrolls. Hasa protruding silver edge lip on the front to assist lid opening and inside has a cedar-wood lined interior.Very heavy silver weight, approx.654 grams, including wood lining. There are no added personal engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms and nothing has been erased.

The silver hinged lid worksperfectly and the lid opens and closes fine. The interiorcedar-wood liningisstill in good condition, lacking the divider, but very easily replaced.Beautiful qualityandwith an excellent heavy silver weight.
