A large pewter tankard with a one quart capacity and sporting a Victorian excise stamp to one side and an Edwardian one to the other where it was obviously re-affirmed as being an official quart measure.

The piece is of baluster form with a medium patina. There are some surface marks but no flaking. There is a slight distortion to the foot ring caused by a knock but not obtrusive and the piece stands well.

Displays well a good example of its genre and age.
