Offered here we have a simply exquisite large \"Dresden lace\" figural group with a wedding theme. This piece is simply magnificent and in wonderful condition! There are a couple of professional repairs to the base but all the lace is intact. This piece measures 12.5 inches long by 7 3/4 inches high. The amount of work that was invested in this piece is simply incredible.
Set in the 18th century this piece depicts a mother with five children and all the children are having a pretend wedding with the bride and groom, flower girl and two attendants. The mother\'s dress is lavishly decorated with flowers. This piece is absolutely packed with \"Dresden lace\" on every figure (made by dipping lace into liquid porcelain) along with individually crafted flowers. The piece is set upon a rococo style plinth adorned with gilding.
Condition:This figure is 99.5% perfect except for the repairs to the base. It is very rare to find this large of a Dresden figurine in such superb condition.
