Item Description:

This large vintage Navajo sterling silver belt buckle measures 4\" across and 3\" tall. It is crafted of heavy sterling silver and weighs 2.65 ounces or 75 grams. The large (1 inch) turquoise stone at the center looks to be a rich Kingman turquoise, known for its vibrant color and deep black matrix. There are deeply handstamped sun symbols at the top and bottom with chiselled rays at the sides. This buckle was crafted by Navajo silversmith A. C. Sloan. It is signed and stamped sterling. The loop at the back will fit a belt up to 1 3/4\" wide. There is some silver patina from age and light scuffing from normal use.
