LARGE VINTAGE NAVAJO STERLING SILVER BEAR PENDANT - TOMMY SINGER - 2 3/8\":
$145.00

Item Description:

This vintage silver bear pendant was designed by Navajo silversmith Tommy Singer. Tommy is one of the most well known Navajo silversmiths. He has had a long and prolific career which has gone through many changes. He was one of the first to develop and use the chip inlay technique. And, he continues to be recognized for his innovative designs even as he returns to more traditional and heavier pieces. This heartline bear has a delightful expression with an attractive combination of textured designs. There are handstamped sun symbols, a stepped rug pattern and a delicate line of silver beads. It measures 2 3/8\" cross and 2\" tall (including the silver loop). The loop will fit a chain approximately 1/8\" in diameter. The pendant weighs 15.86 grams. Tommy\'s hallmark is mostly worn away on the back, but the 1/4 moon and top of the T can still be seen. It is also stamped sterling (which has also been mostly worn away). This piece shows normal signs of vintage wear and is in good condition.
