ThisBeautiful, Older Vintage, NAVAJO Indian Doll with is HUGE 21\" tall - exquisitely handmade with indian tan leather, cowrie shells, beads, tabletta hand painted, corn feet, featherwork....lavish - one of a kind masterpiece by an accomplished dollmaker.
Navajo Indian Tribal Doll Traditional dressed doll with handpainted face with embellishments: bead necklace, tabletta with handpainted butterfly etc. iconic way, featherwork - signed POLI MANA BUTTERFLY GIRL WITH INITIALS (NOT CERTAIN WHO) - HANDMADE WITH FABULOUS MATERIALS - EXCELLENT construction. This doll measures approximately 21\" TALL! Extremely intricate design/work iconic Navajo workmanship by a master doll maker. From a large collection of dolls which I will be selling individually on from a large three generation estate - one of the members was a doll collector. The fabrics and other materials ares bright and vibrant. No rips or tears - stored in curio cabinet - light dust from over the years - displayed away from sun - otherwise in very good condition. Hand painted facial features.... just spectacular! All HANDMADE!! Beautiful doll!! I believe her to be from the 60\'s/70s but leave the dating to the experts on - she is a fine, doll collector estate item. I am uncertain if made by Navajo Indian (although estate had many dolls made by Native American Indians) so I am listing it in this category and hopefully some er may contact me and let me know if they know the artist - whether made by an American Indian or accomplished dollmaker. I am not a knowledgeable doll collector thus caution on my part to list this way!
