LARGEST KNOWN RARE OLD GERMAN PINK OPAQUE MELON BALL MARBLE 2 13/32\" (2.405\")
This is a one-of-a-kind, extremely rare, amazing and monstrous old handmade German Pink Opaque Melon Ball Marble. The basal pontil is faceted.
It measures approx 2 13/32\" (2.405\") and weighs 10.2 oz!
It has some hitmarks/moons, (but mainly in the area of the top pole, see image #5), a few little shallow nicks (the worst one is near the faceted pontil...there are 3 pics of this spot, image #6, #7, #8), minor crazing and as made marks...but no major damage and nothing that detracts from its beauty!
This gorgeous monster is beyond impressive in hand...it definitely has the \"WOW\" factor...and I believe, isthe largest known to exist in the world!
This fine specimen is from the Don Taylor \"Captain Marble\" Collection.
