Nice 6 1/2\" round treen pantry box in dry old blue paint. 3 \" tall, this one is late 19th / early 20th c. thin wall bent wood - great utilitarian piece. There is a different oxidation under the lid where the paint has been covered by the lid, so there is age to the paint. A bit of wood loss to the lap seam on the lid, and it appears that a number of the wooden pegs holding the box together, have been replaced. I say that because they appear to be a lighter color wood. This is a good solid box,NOTHING IS LOOSE OR WIGGLING!! This would be a great addition to any country kitchen, or good for adding to a stack.
