✿ Super über RARE rug by Laura Ashley in their RIALTO design - woven in Belgium - loooong discontinued so indeed a marvellous find! To also quickly add, the original label which demonstrated that this is an example of LA has been removed as the previous owner used BOTH sides of the rug, I have pictures from previous LA catalogues if anyone is questioning its authenticity - happy to forward these on
Not seen often and this is my only one - so don\'t miss out!! This is a THIN pile rug - NOT thick at all!!!
Kindly note that this will of course be folded to enable posting therefore any wrinkles resulting from travel should fall out once laid flat for a while.
CONDITION: Offered in very excellent pre owned condition - there are a few small blemishes - very light and very surface - dotted around to commensurate with its previous use elsewhere. No fade nor any wearing of the rug - i.e no bald patches! This is one good looking rug and is utterly ready to grace its new floor!!
The reverse of the rug is in immaculate condition and this could be used on this side also, although the binding strip would be visible if this was an option for its use of colours. No rips, pulls and definitely nooooo suspect whiffs.
DESIGN - Pattern & colours: Spectacular woven pattern that is very much Rococo influenced classical damask design of oversized and ostentatious florals. In what was officially labelled \"taupe\" through LA, this I translate to a most beautiful tonal shade of grey, moving from slate through to pale metallic dove greys, as the chenille velvet weave of the pattern produces a wonderful pearlescent shimmer. There is a remarkable silver hue so the greys appear deeper or lighter in tone depending on how the light hits it.
The backing is a deep dove grey which provides the perfect backdrop to the pattern. The patterns have been expertly woven and as it is velvet chenille there are choice areas on the rug which the patterns sit ever so lightly raised off the backing which truly enhances what is already a jaw droppingly gorgeous rug!
Just sublime and would look so perfect in almost any room setting, the design and colours do mean that this can fuse well with modern or traditional settings.
Pictures have been taken without any artificial enhancements and in daylight.

Any significant markings, stains, blemishes, rips etc etc will always be highlighted and more than often will be accompanied by a picture of the offender(s), therefore take the time to EXAMINE all the pictures. Please ensure that you have accounted for the need to have such items washed/cleaned/freshened before using. The cleaning costs is NOT my responsibility and again, this is a cost that you should factor when purchasing SECOND HAND or PRE-OWNED products.
The pictures in all my listings will have been taken in natural daylight and without the use of any artificial lighting enhancements etc. Whilst my pictures best represent the item for sale in their textures, colours and conditions etc, the pictures must be viewed as indicative of the item for sale and almost always in conjunction to the listing text. Please note that PC settings to include monitor displays and browsers settings etc will vary not to mention we all see colour differently, so if colour match is crucial please get in touch BEFORE committing to offer/buy and I will help assist as best I can.

✿ It is the BUYERS responsibility to request insurance which covers for the FULL final selling price of the item as the standard level of cover is normally £20-£50 therefore should you not cover for the full cost then the amount recovered should there be a loss or damage in transit would only be this amount only. Please, please take a few minutes to read through my Returns and Refunds policy. I have tried to keep it as fair and as comprehensive as possible, for I am NOT an occasional seller that is out to make a \'quick buck\' and to shrug my responsibilities when something goes wrong - be it from something I have neglected to mention or simply because you have changed your mind - so there is no need to fib about your reasons for wishing to return any items purchased through me.
Email me in the first instance at oneofakindfinds69@gmail.com preferably earlier rather than later; citing your reasons for returning. Items MUST be in the SAME condition and the SAME packaging as it had left me, and whereby you have taken any remedial actions on said item(s) then you waive the right to a refund/return as it will be deemed you have accepted the item(s) condition and therefore the item(s) ownership has passed onto you.
Otherwise, once granted, all item(s) must be received back no later than 3 working days of approval - please send your item TRACKED AND INSURED.
Once received, it will be inspected and should there be any evidence to suggest that they have been used whilst in your care, I reserve the right to deduct a nominal charge for fair usage from the funds due back. Of course if it remains in the same condition as it had left me - the total purchase price will be returned.
In all instances the return postage cost remains at the buyers responsibility therefore I do encourage you to ask as many questions as possible BEFORE committing to a offer/purchase as this will cut down the need to return thus would not leave you out of pocket for postage costs.
