LEGO 1650 MAERSK LINE **RARE** Vintage City Blue Cargo Container Ship:
$509.00

LEGO 1650 MAERSK LINE*** ATTENTION LEGO COLLECTORS!! ***Here is the ultimate LEGO collector find from 1974!LEGO set 1650 was produced in 1974 as an exclusive for MAERSK LINE employees.I\'m a LEGO collector and I\'m not the original owner of this LEGO set.
The set in this sale is complete with all original bricks.
When I ship this set, I\'ll include the printout from the peeron.com website with a list of all bricks that I have checked-off by hand to ensure no bricks are missing.I have not attempted to clean any of the pieces in this set.
This set is being sold as is.Items missing:
- Box (sadly, I do not have the box)
- Sticker Sheets (There were two sticker sheets in each new set, but those stickers are already applied to all the corresponding bricks.)Brick Condition:
Overall, the bricks are in good condition and generally have crisp corners.
Some bricks have some light wear and color fade, which is typical of a set that is 43 years old!
The bricks do not have what I classify as \"play wear\"... it\'s apparent this set was either on display or in storage for most of its life.
One of the clear 1x1 bricks has noticeably more browning than the others. (see pictures)
The ship hull pieces are in fair-to-good condition. There are a few tiny \"dings\" on the top of the blue hull parts. When the ship hull is assembled, the hull sides don\'t line-up perfectly. (see the pictures)
The applied stickers are the worst part of this set as far as aesthetics. The clear stickers have accumulated dust and light dirt. The gray and blue stickers show light-to-moderate wear and two of the container stickers were applied upside-down. The blue sticker on the black chimney bricks was applied poorly and has obvious overlap.Instruction Manual:
The Instruction Manual is in poor-to-fair condition. It is original and has some brown water stains on it.
However, it is intact and is very functional and has instructions for 2 different ship configurations. This set looks awesome when it\'s assembled and all the imperfections are in keeping with it\'s age and in my opinion are small enough that I don\'t think they standout in any significant way.Compare this to what\'s available on bricklink.com. At the time of writing this description, there are two 1650 sets for sale there and both are in foreign countries and priced over $1,200.Please see the pictures.***FREE INTERNATIONAL buyers or buyers please!
