Fine, antique Chinese gold lacquer, hand painted fan - circa late 19th century.The 16 sticks (2 long ones and 14 shorter) are finely hand decorated with gold lacquer depicting various figures, trees, flowers & more - the paper part is hand painted with bright and vivid colors depicting many figures - the faces are carved, painted and masterfully inset into the paper.The decor which is uniformed, on both sides, is of very high standard - detailed, precise and very appealing.Excellent condition for the age with no losses, tears or repairs - please inspect the detailed pictures.It measures 28.5 cm long when closed - opened, it measures 52 cm wide.Comes with the original padded box, covered with black lacquer and decorated in gold - box is 32 cm long.
