According to the NAO website I did research on this is a handcrafted, hand painted porcelain Angora cat, model number: 02000113. The sculptor was: Fulgencio Garcia and the website states it was issued in 1992 however, on the bottom of the cat is the stamped date July 28, 1988. Also, it has the logo NAO Handmade in Spain by Llardo and Daisa. The logo of the ship looks like it was scratched off for some reason. The measurements are 10\" long by 3\" high (this is to the top of the ears) and it is around 3\" wide.This is a quote from the NAO website about NAO products.\"NAO is a brand of the Lladro Group whose pieces are distinguished by the simplicity of their forms, lighthearted subject matters and colorful presentations. All NAO pieces are created by the team of sculptors at the City of Porcelain and are made at the company\'s workshops in the town of Xirivella, in Valencia (Spain).\" Daisa referrs to the name of the Lladro company which holds the intellectual property rights for the figurines. Lladro brothers purchased a small porcelain factory close to Valencia in 1967. Rosal was the first brand name followed by a change in 1975 to Zaphir. Finally becoming NAO in 1982 which is a term referring to old sailing ships from the days of Columbus symbolizing a return journey to origins, conveying creativity, skill and magic.This is a very beautiful example of NAO figurines and a must have for the cat lover to add to your collection. I wish I didn\'t have to part with her however, I am in the process of downsizing so just trying to find her a nice new home. Any questions, please ask prior to purchase.
