Comes with an ORIGINAL 1965 rainbow Capitol record!

a coup! USA Capitol Records selected the seven best Beatles songs from the UK Help! album which were in the film, and added the rest of the album with George Martin productions from the movie soundtrack that you can only get on this release. Plus the gatefold cover features a bunch of pictures from the movie, so then Capitol Records hiked the price of their newest 1965 album by a dollar which was a big increase for teens in the mid sixties.

The bit of \"James Bond Theme\" which appears before the title track became a popular introduction to the song \"HELP!\"

Though \'Beatlemania\' was in its peak, successful tours and sold out stadium shows took place, The year was 1965 and the world was in the palm of their hands yet the settling cynicisms began to take fold for the Beatles as the glamorous postures began to get old and personal freedoms for the band gets slimmer. After the release and success of their previous effort with \"The Beatles for sale\" in 1964, the band follows up with an excellent album where the evidence of cynical and pessimistic themes began to surface with the album \"Help!\". Lennon, in a later interview reveals that he was actually crying for help in that time period as complications in personal affairs and the search for more meaning was in actual motion. The album offers a fresh approach with the band\'s signature rock and roll and flirtations with folk acoustic formats with plenty of influences with THC (by this time The Beatles were already regular pot-smokers). A strong opening with the album\'s title track \"Help!\" blares the song\'s eclectic energy as penned by Lennon includes powerful, convicted vocals, harmonies and ambitious chord structural arrangements. The first track absolutely displays the start of the maturing compositional skills of the Lennon and McCartney team. The following track of \"The Night Before\" is mainly a McCartney tune with its upbeat tempo maintains the energy of the opening song and mainly spotlights the honed vocal, harmonic skills of the group. The mood suddenly changed as Lennon adapts a Dylan inspired composition of \"You\'ve Got To Hide Your Love Away\" with simple arrangements and acoustic guitar drive. The song is supposedly about the band\'s manager Epstein\'s homosexuality which was criminal at the time. Following the next tune would be a surprising resurface of Harrison as a solo composer with \"I Need You\" after being absent since his last effort with \"Don\'t bother me\" from their second album \"With the Beatles\" featuring the use of a volume pedal written for his wife, Pattie Boyd. The next track offers cynical poetries from McCartney with \"Another Girl\" which has some tasty bending riffs from George with the influences of Chet Atkins. The following song is a Lennon track of \"You\'re Gonna Lose That Girl\" has some definitive vocal harmonies with also some pretty innovative chord structures in it. Another Lennon composition ends the Side A with some more cynical theme with \"Ticket To Ride\" energetic with its own rite as the intro of George\'s Gretsch guitar is in full tone to count off a mid tempo groove filled with strong energy with Lennon\'s single strums from his Rickenbacker guitar and the rest of the bands\' dynamics.

The single and album versions of \"Help\" have slightly different lyrics. According to some, when the line \"I know that I just need you like I\'ve never done before\" is played backwards it sounds like John is saying \"Now he uses marijuana.\" When asked about the song in 1965, John stated, \"We think it\'s one of the best we\'ve written.\"Originally, the \"Help!\" album cover was to show the Beatles spelling out the word \"Help\" using the semaphore system of communicating with Flags. The photographer didn\'t like the pose, so he had them hold the Flags in a way that looked good, but didn\'t spell anything.
