LOT x 2 Vintage Pipes with Gold Ring **VERY RARE** PIERRE CARDIN + GOLDEN SUNSET

Set of two quite rare pipes. A Pierre Cardin (the limited pipes branded by Pierre Cardin were manufactured by Jean Lacroix who died in 2007 and had started his factory in 1992), and a Golden Sunset (no information on the maker or the country of manufacture have been found).

The bent Pierre Cardin, except for a small bite mark on the underside of the stem, is in near mint condition on all of its parts. Most probably made in the 1960s or 1970s. Unclear if its ring is gold or gold plated. It has a diagonal length of approximately 140 mm (5.51\") and weighs 47 gr (1.66 oz). Marks : Pierre Cardin [calligraphic logo], 3030, Pierre Cardin logo on the side of the stem. No marks on the ring.

The straight Golden Sunset has a few dents on the exterior of its exagonal bowl and a small and very shallow bite mark on the stem underside. It appears to have been made in the 1950s the latest, and has a 12 karat gold plated ring. It has a length of approximately 144 mm (5.67\") and weighs 37 gr (1.30 oz). Marks : GOLDEN SUNSET, ALGERIAN BRIAR, FRANCE, 12 KT GOLDPLATE on the ring, setting sun mark on the side of the stem [faded].

Both pipes do not take any filters and have original vulcanite stems.

These pipes belong to a large collection of smoked and unsmoked estate pipes which has been commissioned to me for sale. Previously smoked pipes have been cleaned by the owner. Unless otherwise specified in the above description, the stummel and stem have been thoroughly cleaned internally / externally and any eventual stem oxidation has been carefully removed, so the pipe is ready to smoke immediately after purchase.
