LOUIS VUITTON contracted with The French Company to make this nowRARE and discontinued bag back in the 1970\'s. This particular piece of luggage was distributed through Saks Fifth Avenue\'s private label(note the brass plate in the photos). The \"wow\" factor of this luxury bag will give you many years of enjoyment, as it is distinctive, sturdy, andcan carryaton of your favorite travel items! The bag\'s original purpose was toprovide secure transport foreight pairs of shoes in the luxurious brown corduroy pockets, but this bag can do so many things. The interior is very clean and can easily take you through a long weekend with room to spare.While the bag has obviously beencarriedover the years to a great many destinations, it has been well cared for and shows the wear on the leather that one would expect in a bag that\'sover 40 years old--a CLASSIC! The turned leather handles are sturdy, although a bit worn. I have chosen not to condition the leather so as to maintain the character of this wonderful piece, but a leather conditioner would refresh it if you choose a lessvintage look. This luggage will turn heads, whether you\'re jet-setting to Hawaii or New York City, hopping on the TGV in Europe,sailing from Shanghaion an exotic cruise, or heading out in the car for a long weekend! All brass hardware and the original Talon zipperare in good shape. I do not have the key to this bag, but you\'ll never let this bag out of your sight because you\'ll love it so! This bag has been inspected by the local Louis Vuitton boutique and verified as authentic.
