This isa very sweet miniature antique solid sterling silver top perfume or scentbottle. Dating from the beginning of theEdwardian era, this lovely little piece of silver is hallmarked for Birmingham1903.

The flip top lid isdecorated all the way around in embossed silver with a beautiful Art Nouveau design. This surrounds a circular blank cartouche - thereare no personal monograms or inscriptions of any kind. Internally, the bottle\'s original glassstopper is still intact and in place - after 113 years! So often the stoppers are missing- theyare valuable in their own right. Thebottle has an elegant design of faceted glass. The baseis decorated with a star shape.

This very sweet miniature perfume bottle would grace any dressing tableand is all ready to use, 113 years after it was crafted!

HALLMARKS: Themain set is on one side of the lid: \"B.G & Co\" for Britton, Gould & Co; the Anchor mark for theBirmingham Assay Office; the lion passant for sterling silver; the letter “d”for the year 1903. There are furtherpartial hallmarks on the lid of the lion passant and letter \"d\" toshow that lid and base are matched and original.

APPROXIMATEMEASUREMENTS/WEIGHT: Itmeasures 4.5cm in height and 2.5cm in diameter across the base. It weighs 31.6g.
