Description A beautiful largeEnglishantiqueEdwardian solid sterling silver vesta/match case by the silversmithsS Blanckensee& SonsLtd inlovely condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1907.Excellent quality genuine 107 year old example, with a sprung hingedlid and decorated with attractive engraved flowers and scrolls.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions in the cartouche and is complete with its original silver hallmarked attachment ring. Looks very little used.

MeasurementsMeasures approx. 1.9 inches (45mm)x1.75 inches (43mm)and is 0.45 inches (10mm) deep.Date AntiqueEdwardian solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1907(date letter \"h\").Excellent clearstruck marks on vesta and lid and there is also a hallmark on the attachment ring.MakerSilversmiths initials \"S B & S Ld\", (S Blanckensee & littleused. The lid hinge is still very strong and it closes tightly. No nasty knocks or dents, a couple of minor shallow surface bruises, really nothing much at all and a nice clean example.
