This is for a nice unusual sterlingsilver Victorian sovereign case fob made by ThomasLund of London. It has a central plate which is sprung as is usual and this is clearly marked \'Made by Lund, Patent 3558, 57 Cornhill,London\'. Thecase has a silver band around the top outer edge and asuspensionring for hanging it to a chain. It carries English sterling silver hallmarksfor Londonalong with the makers initials C.L.and although no date stamp it can be dated to the mid to late1800s due to the business moving from the address at Cornhill, London after this.It is all in excellent condition with no dents, no play and no repairs,it looks nice and crisp and clean. It measures 25mm (1\") in diameter by 12mm (0.5\") deep.
