Geneva Bible
Published in Geneve (Geneva, Switzerland) Imprime Pour Pierre & Jacques Chouet, MDCXXVII (1637). Recently rebound in modern half leather with marbled boards. Banded spine with title plate in gilt to an upper compartment. Internally the block is tight with some scattered foxing here and there, with browning to the paper, as expected. One corner has a tear (I have shown both sides of the page in shots 12 and 13). One page with an ink spot, showing in the last shot. Both the old and new testaments have been collated complete, but a number of pages have been incorrectly paginated (pp273 for pp287, pp271 for pp277, etc). Prev owner\'s plate and details sticker to the inner cover and front endpaper, postcode on the inner rear cover. Title page with woodcut vignette, futher woodcut letters and chapter headings. Old and New testaments are separately paginated, with the pagination being 454/133 respectively, although the pagination is printed on one page for every 2 pages, so actual page count is 908/267, plus a further 4pp of \'Interpretation de Quelques\'. Size of the volume is 18 x 24cm (7 x 9.5 inches). Very Rare Bible, seldom offered online.Vg condition overall.

As New (AN): Although a used book, it should appear unread with no flaws, just as when it was sold new.
Fine (F): Should have no flaws, a perfect copy of a used book.
Mint: Another term for Fine.
Near Fine (NF): May show a small flaw, such as shelf wear, but nearly perfect and unread.
Very Good (VG): The broadest category for used books, this describes any average used book. May have small flaws, and has probably been read, but should appear overall clean and attractive.
Good (G): Will probably have significant wear or damage, although is still intact. Suitable for reading, but not necessarily a good gift copy. The old saying in bookselling is "good ain\'t good."
Fair: Another term for Poor or Reading Copy: Heavily worn or damaged, a poor book will be readable but not attractive.
Binding Copy: This will be the complete pages of the book, but the binding has been broken or damaged to the point it will need professional rebinding
