Antique 19th Century Large Brass School House Bell with Oak Wooden Handle, Original Condition. Preowned. Fair to good antique condition. Brass metal has darkened with age, has spots, scratches, etc. Bell was used so much that metal must have worn thin at some point and side of bell was patched/repaired, see photos. Oak wooden handle in good shape, oak has darkened, has spots scratches. Nut on top of handle that hold clapper in place has slipped to side. Leaving as is, original condition, original antique patina. Bell is large, measuring 10\" high and 6 3/4\" across bottom opening. Bell has an excellent, loud, very resonant tone. Clapper is made of iron, shows some rust.
