A superb large unusualChinese export silver menu holder. It is hallmarked with a Chinese character, and the makers mark of Wang Hing. Itdates to c1900. It has been beautifully designed having a pierced front in the formof the Chinese character for what I think represents \'long life\'. It is in perfect condition being free fromdings splits and repairs. It is as mentioned a good sized example measuring almost 3 inches (7.4cms) tall by 2.75 inches (7cms) wide and weighs 25 grams. A beautifully made moreunusual example.
