This is a large amethyst crystal with red hematite inclusions, some call it lepidocrocite, its a form of hematite. The inclusions look like tiny red confetti! This crystal was alluvial, meaning it was found in the ground under the surface, but had naturally fell out of the pocket, causing this one to get a little damage on the main tip. Sits nice for display. Its from a brand new private location South Carolina we are calling now the \"Purple Heart Mine\". This is one of the larger points to be found from this location so far.
