Antique Russian Samovar from 1825 -ish
Selling this samovar from my grandparents collection.. They acquired it while over seas in Saudi Arabia many years ago.
Not exactly sure of its age as it has many stamps on it . But I do know it is a old antique . The oldest stamp i can find on it is from 1825. I have done a but of research and it appears to be the desirable peasant barrel model made Made by BATASHEV FACTORY IN TULA, RUSSIAI do not know if it works, as my grandparents never used these , they were only on display in their home. Not sure if it is 100% complete, I have see some samovars with trays and lids that this does not have. That said this beautiful antique is in excellent condition. There are no dents or major scratches to the finish, some of the stamps are alittle worn, but still readable. This samovar measures 32 in girth , 22 tall by 14 wide ( handle to handle) wood handles are still in fairly good shape.
It has 11 stamps on the barrel ( 12 if you count the big stamp with the name in the middle) 3 stamps on the top and 2 on the foot.This is a very large and heavy item, buyer to pay shipping and insurance.
