Large Antique Chalkware Infant of Prague Statue:

My 92 year old grandmother has downsized and she just didn\'t have room for this statue anymore. It\'s a beautiful Infant of Prague statue made out of chalkware (chalk)or plaster. She\'s had it since the 1940\'s. She won it at a church carnival when she was young. She wanted to pick a doll as her prize, but her priest said she should pick this...so she did. It sat on display on a corner shelf in her bedroom hallway for as long as I can remember, and I\'m 44 years old. I don\'t know if the gown and metal crown originally came with it, but grandma seemed to think it did.

The figure stands 17.25 inches tall and is really quite impressive. He has a few paint rubs, as noted in the pictures. Also, His cape is missing a few sequins and the ribbon is too short to tie anymore. However, this could easily be replaced. His gown is also fray a bit, as seen in the pictures. The metal crown is tarnished some. And he is missing a few plastic rhinestones, but again these could be replaced. I would be happy to take more pictures and send them to any interested party.

He would make a lovely Christmas present for a collector or Catholic. Grandma would like Him to go to a good home, and my husband and I simply don\'t have room.
