Rare, hard to find item
Featuring a scene on the tin\'s lid depicting old Nurnberg, or the city of Nuremberg
Lid has a heavy amount of patina and some rust, but you can make out details of the cityscape, bridges, and waterfront
Ornate border
Coat of arms at upper center of the lid has the word, norica, written in it
The words, Gebr. Beim Nurnberg, are written at the top
Two coats of arms are at lower center of the lid
In smaller print at lower right are the words, WEINSTADER MIT HENKERSTEG
Left and right side panels have the same image--two infantry soldiers followed by two cavalry soldiers who, in turn, are followed by two more infantry soldiers
Front and rear panels have the same image--a cavalry soldier on horseback; a team of horses pulling a covered wagon; and five infantrymen and another cavalry soldier
Tin measures approximately 12-1/4\" long by 9-1/8\" wide by 5-1/4\" high
Color is similar to titanium or a dark, dirty silver
Tin alone weighs 24.3 ounces
Acceptable condition--dents in upper left of lid and in rear side panel; heavy patina; lots of rust on both exterior and interior
