We are pleased to offer this AntiqueJasperware Edwardian Sage Green Plaque Featuring a Dancing, Joyous Cherub andWenus.A darling diaphanous clad Figurines in a gorgeous 3-D pose frolics flowers on asage green Jasperware Edwardian plaque. The plaque\'s shape is wonderfullyEdwardian and the detailing is gorgeous. The item is unmarked but undoubtedlyGerman (Volkstedt) in origin. Measures approximately 9\" (23 cm) in height and 13\" (33 cm) wide andapproximately 1\" (2.54 cm) deep.This antique Volkstedt plaque (ca. 1895-1905) is modelled with a very four dimensionalWenus and Cherub, dancing light and appearing to float in mid-air. The plaqueis in very good condition, only two cherubs had broken head (fixed), and one cherub hasbroken fingers.Very often Volkstedt Jasperware plaques are mistaken for Wedgwood ~ they weremade to emulate the famous Wedgwood Jasperware.
