6 2/3 inches or 17cm long almost 2 inch thick. Used for the Havdalah ceremony to hold Besamin (Balsamin) spice, these articulated fish boxes were made in the Low Countries and in Germany in the 18th and 19th centuries and are very rare to find. No markings on it that I can find and I bought it as solid silver but now think it is silver plated, though these are rare to find not made of silver.
