Large Japanese Cloisonné vase signed by Gonda Hirosuke circa late C19th.

A beautiful vase with a light blue grounddepicting a kingfisher which has caught a small fish flying amoungst prunus blossoms.

This vase is:

12 inches high (304 mm)

5 inches wide (125 mm)

Weighs approx 820 grams.

This vase is in very good condition and the only faults that I can see are a small mark on the rear shoulder of the vase about 6mm long and 2mm wide. I can hardly feel this with my fingertip but mention it as it can be seen; also there are 3 x light brown stains approx 2 inches long 1 mm thick running vertically up the vase. These stains can barely be seen and are not cracks but I thought I had better mention them anyway. I have taken photos of these but you might not be able to spot them.
