A Wonderful Antique Persian Solid Silver Box in Very Good condition.
It weighs 337 gr (11.88 oz).It is 16 cm (6.3\") long and 9 cm (3.5\") wide.
It features an intricate hand engraved design in the manner of a Persian carpet. There are maker and silver marks as shown, the numbers 84 written in Arabic, representing the silver standard of 84% purity, similar to the Russian Imperial standard and purer than most continental silver. There are 2 marks on the bottom inside, and 1 small mark on the bottom outside that I cannot read and likely an export mark.
A very nice, high quality Persian solid silver box, signed by the maker. Considering the quality and details, likely made by a famous Persian silversmith.
