This is a lovely woman\'s ring that is handmade with sterling silver and a wild horse appaloosa cabochon stone. It is no dainty ring, as it is close to an inch in size! The band has lovely engraving all the way around it. The ring is signed by \"Lucky\" on the inside. It fits fingers sized 7.5 to 8.
HISTORY OF THE STONE
Wild horse appaloosais a natural gemstone from an Indian Reservation in the Gila Wilderness Area in Southwest Arizona near Bisbee.The stone got the wild horse appaloosa nickname from its resemblance to spotted brown and white pinto horses. Since it appears to be much harder than other magnesite (ivoryite or howlite), most experts consider it to be a jasper deposit mixed with the turquoise. Others say it is a combination of magnesite and hematite, which is an iron mineral.
