Antique Persian solid silver table box

A large solid silver box that measures 6.25\" wide!

A box of usual Persian high standard with a substantial silver weight of 382.5gms

In superb condition with fine patina

Of the Qajar Dynasty and by Biryayi(hallmarked) this is a substantial piece in both size and decoration.

In the form of a table snuff box and/or cigar box the width is 6.25\" whilst the weight is a hefty 382.5gms ensuring a well crafted and desirable box.

With extensive Persian decoration to all sides apart from underside of base which is supported by four bracket feet, the hallmark for maker Biryayi and 84 silver standard is found to inner lid standard guarantee to the quality of early 20th Century Islamic silver.

A handsome and quite noble example of Persian solid silver for sale this week.

I would have to place this piece as in very good to excellent condition, with some very minor marks to underside of base ie. tarnish.
