Large and fine and large art pottery vase by the well-known Dutch maker, Rozenburg of the Netherlands.

Signed and fully marked on the bottom. Circa 1910.

Decorated in the late Art Nouveau / Arts and Crafts style and reminiscent of some of the designs decorated with fishes on stoneware by the Martin Brothers of England during the same time period. A fierce fantastical large fish swimming amongst seaweed on a dark green background is beautifully painted on both sides of this vase. I\'m not sure of the decorator of this piece, but it may be the Rozenburg hand-painted decorative line known as Plateel.

CONDITION:

Good condition with very small chip to the edge of the foot rim and a few light scratches to the surface. No restoration.
