Hi, Sellingthis fantastic and large sterling Silver box with stunning pagoda and oriental mountain village scene in relief on the top and similar engraved scenes around the sides by one of the best Silversmiths of the era Samurai Shokai of Yokohama c1900 and is fully marked as such in pictures. It is in Good condition with No damages to the box with age related wear, as can be seen in last 2 pictures the box has split across the top of the hinge and gapes open with signs of failed repairs. This would actually be quite and easy repair for any competent restorer. The inside is made in a hard dark wood and is quite clean.It measures 15.2cms in length, 9.5cms in width and 4.8cms in height and hallmarked as shown on bottom rim with Samurai Shokai. Sterling.This is an absolutemust for anycollection anddisplays really really well.
