This is a leaf from an extremelylarge Spanish Breviery, in Latin, on vellum (approximately 540x 375 mm.). These leaves contain Psalms, hymns, and Anthiphonalswith versal initials alternating in vivid shades of red and blueand this particular leaf Contains the chants for Second Vespersand is used for all Feasts for the Blessed Virgin Mary throughoutthe year. This particular leaf contains Psalm 23. There is a lovely large initial "D" in redink Verso:thirteen lines of text in black ink with initials in alternating colors of red and blue Condition of theseleaves is under fine due to the cropping at the top anda small portion of vellum missing from the margin..
