VINTAGE FRAMED ANGEL, ITALY
Striking and lovely vintage carved wood Florentine plaque measuring a whopping 16\" tall and 7\" wide. Featuring a lovely Renaissance winged angel holding an unusual tambourine, plaque is long and narrow with a curved top and scalloping around the image. Heavily accented in gold gilding, back is carve marked MADE IN ITALY - guessing it dates to the 1940s - image is a loose copy of a painting done by Fra Angelico (1395-1455). Condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage other a bit of running and scuffing from display - gold has been intentionally \"aged\" to create a more antique look. Just a lovely vintage Florentine plaque - large and striking, it would be a wonderful addition to any home, collection or display!
