Here is a very nice vintage commemorative medal made of bronze, in quite splendid condition overall, measuring app. 3\" across, with a plain edge about 3/16\" thick and a high obverse relief. This attractive old mint product shows basically nowear really, and I have not cleaned it in any manner, with four of the photos having been \"enhanced\" for clarity. Judging by what I received with it long ago, I believe this presidential piece was struck in the late 1960\'s - early \'70\'s by the United States Mint, and it weighs a whopping 7.9 ounces. Sorry for the glare in the pictures - it was very hard to photograph, particularly the reverse, since the medal is still in its original mint bag, a faint \"120\" or \"126\" seen on one side of the somewhat wrinkled plastic. It also comes in what I believe is its original, brown cardboard box, showing some wear at the copper clasps, as well as having the president\'s name on the cover.

The obverse pictures the gentleman facing right, and \"William H. Taft\" is around the portrait. The top of the reverse pictures a seated, gowned and hooded female allegorical figure holding a scroll, and she gazes at the viewer, with \"Inaugurated President Of The United States - March 4. 1909\", a berried branch along the bottom left edge.
