Pewter NORWEGIAN ACANTHUS WEDDING CHALICE with disc

Truly a unique piece of Norwegian vintage pewter with acanthus or rosemaling design. From Norway. This chalice has a metal disc which hangs on the side and can be monogrammed or inscribed if desired.

I have seen this piece isimilar to this advertised (from UK and another site) as a Norwegian wedding chalice....and although I have never heard it referred to as that in Norway, I agree that it is a novel and romanticly lovely idea. It could also be used to skål in the new year or a 50 yr birthday or whatever occassion you choose. A unique and special gift.

Lovely with champagne, wine, flowers....or nuts, candies, candles....dates, figs, The is an absolutely beautiful piece of Norwegian pewter. It is both a candle holder or turn it upside down and use for flowers or as a nut or chocolate bowl.

From Norway, stamped and in excellent condition. Bowl Diameter 6\" and 2.5\" deep. Stands 7\". The candle holder can take many different sizes of candles. Pure quality Eik pewter. It has been used (gently) and would make a perfect gift for someone who loves Norwegian pewter.

This piece and similar ones come in different sizes and shapes as I have tried to show in the last photos.
