Details: A large William IV silver topped travel inkwell. Screw down lid with cork stopper. Very heavy molded glass base.

Hallmarks / date / Maker: Hallmarked English sterling silver with hallmarks for London 1835 makers CR over GS

Condition: No splits or repairs and no glass damage. The cork stopper is a replacement where it would have had a leather seal probably. The ink appears to have attacked the silver in places leaving slight etching as can be seen. There are some stains to the silver. All in a good object.

Monogram: Rather finely engraved with reversing initials.

Dimensions: 8cm x 4.5cm x 5.6cm (tall).
