A 19th century hand raised and wrought brass pandan /spice box fromIndia with engraved decorations.
The convex cover is fitted with central loops to fit ahandle (missing). The cover hinges are of handconstructed chain link form and are retained by lugs similar in form to thecover handle loops mountings. A hasp and staple closure catch is mountedcentral to the front face where a lock can be fitted.

This box measures about 18 cm in diameter at the base. And is about 10 cm tall.It weighs844 grams
