Graziella currently measures 17.5\" high, is of pressed felt,
painted 2-tonebrown eyes, painted eyelashes to match her
dirty blondemohair wig with pink ribbon to the braids,pale
complexion,disc-joints at neck, shoulders& hips, red lips,

handmade wardrobe is original: white bloomers and petticoat,
off-white socks, hot pink felt shoes with ankle strap, 4-tone
checkerboardjumper of hot pink, medium pink, light pink and
off-white,and white ruffled apronCalifornia Here They Come
during Mussolini\'s rise to power in the early 1930\'s,Grumpy
Graziella& Vitto (whom we just sold recently) emigrated from Italy
and moved to San Anselmo, CA, USA, where they found a new
home andsteady work for the next 30 years doing window display
in a toy store; still, they were only too happy when the shop keeper
broke the news to them in the early 1960\'s that they were about
to be \'wrapped\' and given as aChristmas present from a local
husband to his wifeafter she repeatedly told him about admiring
the twobambinosin the store\'s window every day whilewalking
to work at anearby elementary school; she even tried several
times topurchase the dolls herself, only to be told bythe store\'s
owner that they were\'very special and not for sale.....\'a true story, the pair of Lenci dollshave been owned by that
same former elementary schoolteacher for over 50 years,
many of them inJuneau, Alaska where they reside today; this will change with a successful conclusion of this sale
asthewise matriarch hasacceded to the dolls\' reluctant
wish to moveto awarmerclimate and see what else the world

Lenci clan members are known for their ability not to show
ageandGraziella at approximately 83 years old shares that trait;
