This Lenox \"Holiday Village Christmas Tree Centerpiece\" decoration is intended to sit on a flat surface, and makes a beautiful holiday centerpiece. It is in two parts: the ceramic tree, and the rotating base which contains a music box. When the tree is attached to the base via 3 molded-in locking nubs, the music box can be wound by twisting the tree in a clockwise direction, and plays \"Oh Tannenbaum\" (\"Oh, Christmas Tree\"). The base contains a single light bulb powered by 3 AA batteries. This illuminates the interior of the tree, causing colored pieces of plastic attached separately to glow like Christmas bulbs hung on the tree. The tree measures approximately 12\" high by 5 1/2\" wide at its base and is 7\" at its widest point. It was purchased new and has had only one owner.
At some point, the colored pieces of plastic that serve as bulbs (they are lit from within by the single large bulb rather than being individually powered) were glued into their holes in the ceramic tree and some were broken off. I removed all those that could be worked out, and drilled out the broken ones. The tree now has ten empty holes ready to take the plastic inserts, and six intact pieces that could not be removed from the holes. It comes with an additional 21 spare bulbs, more than enough to complete the display.
It comes with the original instruction card and packaging.
