One of the all time mostbeautifuland unique pens by Cartier, the rare 80\'s version Vendome Crosshatch - Cisele style. The pen is a special in almost every way; the cross section of the body is a rounded edges rectangle, which makes for one of the best grips, feel and writingexperiencewith any pen as it just fits the fingers perfectly. It has a very rare Ciselesquarefinish, and all body and cap are coated with very thick 18K gold plate, so no gold ware of possible unlike newer models which are very thin electroplated. The pen is a special traveler version, with a unique clean and fast filling system which loads a cartridge with a special cartridge holder from the top of the pen. Due to the pen\'s shape the cartridges are special flat made only by Cartier, and still available on the market. The Trinity rings on the top of the cap are solid gold.The three rings are interwoven and the yellow ring represents faithfulness, the pink one love and the white friendship. The most special feature of this pen is the Cartier patented unique clip mechanism, where just by pressing the top of the cap the clipdeploysperpendicularly to that motion,parallelto the cap and makes it extremely easy to place into a pocket, however when taken out of the pocket the clip automatically retracts back in to the cap, making it impossible to damage and making the pen more ergonomic and slim. The pen has number of markings and seals, (please see pictures), and a serial number on the top. The nib is superb, solid 18K, semi flexible and will write almost all bigger sizes with little pressure while writing, thus F, M and even B broad. If used gently it will write EF.
