Heavy cast metal Shakespeare\'s house
Amazing detail in this 130+ year old statue of William Shakespeare\'s cottage house. The roof has a removeable lid that was hinged at one time and the hinge is complete and intact but could be spot welded or soldered back into place. The condition is nice, the patina seems undisturbed and aside from a little edge crack beneath the tree on the left side of the house and a missing log under the SH in Shakespeare it is lovely. Unsure of the artist. I does look like a Rousseau from Paris but I cannot confirm. If anyone has information to send along I would be more than happy to add it to the listing. I am selling with and a fair opening offer however realize it has considerable value. The overall dimensions are approximately 9 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 5-1/4 inches tall. It does have screw holes underneath and may have been secured on a base at some point. The weight is about 5 pounds so will need to be shipped via tracked parcel which will cost a lot so I am charging $50 Canadian to ship it to USA and Canada which is approximately $37 US and I will pay the difference. If it sells elsewhere in the world it will cost substantially more and the buyer pays the entire cost of shipping.
