For purchase, a large abstract signed Tom McMillin stoneware vase with exaggerated side handles. This form is one of the artist\'s rarest. A unique grayish blue color and the incredible abstract brown drip glaze is just amazing. The work is large, measuring 14\" tall and about 10\" wide at the widest area. It\'s in excellent condition with no found chips. On the too is a small rim of unglazed pottery. The signature on the base is strong and clear. This work displays very nicely against a solid background. This form is classic mid century modern, from one of the master artists of the time. I do not have w scale but this vase is solid and heavy weight. I would guess it is five to six lbs.

For those of you who don\'t know, Tom McMillin was a Los Angeles potter working during the height of the California modernist crafts movement. He received his MFA in ceramics from USC.
