Here is my personal lists I have compiled of the Colonel Samuel Colt Presentation 1860 Army Revolvers, 1861 Navy Revolvers and 1862 Police Revolvers. These lists were started off from the legendary books Samuel Colt Presents and History and Heroes from the 1960s. These two publications only scratched the surface of the amount of revolvers that Samuel Colt Presented to important and high ranking people of his day. These lists are a fountain of information containing Serial numbers, inscriptions and overall year production serial number starts. The lists are each several pages long and have several photographs of actual inscriptions also. These lists are extremely advanced lists from compiling over several years and really ferreting out some really interesting information with many guns on the lists. Many Generals, politicians, newspaper people, lawyers and prominent business men were given revolvers by Colonel Colt. Obviously Colonel Colts intentions were to get more business for the Colt Factory by making these presentations.
